Natural Indigo Dye Kit
The Earthues Natural Indigo Kit supplies the basic ingredients for the art of dyeing natural blue colors. Found in many cultures around the world, indigo blue is used on utilitarian and high-status textiles alike. It is a unique dye that passes through several transitional colors, from blue to yellow, to green, and back to blue, providing interesting nuanced design possibilities.
The kit contains enough natural indigo to dye approximately 3 to 5 pounds of cloth the deepest shade of blue. It also contains soda ash (alkali to balance the vat), thiourea dioxide (oxygen reducer), hide glue (natural fiber protectant), gloves, mask, pH strips, and an instruction booklet.
