Joe Coca, Photographer
Vibrant, sensitive, dignified – these are the words reviewers have used to describe Joe Coca’s stunning portraits of indigenous artisans in Peru, Guatemala, and Chiapas, Mexico. You’ll have a rare opportunity to engage with these remarkable images, and to see and touch the exquisite textiles created by enduring descendants of the Incas and Mayans.
ClothRoads: A Global Textile Marketplace
An Artisan shopping experience joins hands with Joe Coca’s photographs. Joe Coca’s images from Faces of Tradition: Weaving Elders of the Andes, and forthcoming books on Guatemalan Textiles (2015) and Mayan Threads (2105) will be on display along with an artisan collection of textile products from ClothRoads: A Global Textile Marketplace. This Holiday Trunk Show features handwoven cloth, personal accessories including bags, scarves, hats, and home decorating accessories including pillows, runners, tablecloths and more.
All products featured at ClothRoads.com support artisan-made women cooperatives dedicated to creating a sustainable environment for the artists and their families.
