This online exhibition of Berber woven art is an expression of the sheer ingenuity and versatility of rugs woven with varied materials and motifs. The last two decades of the previous millennium have witnessed the arrival on the Moroccan scene of previously unknown woven pieces. Collecting these rugs has allowed for the recording of possibly the last wave of authentic rural weavings arising from a still-genuine indigenous tradition. This online exhibition is comprised of a mix of older and newer pieces.
