Product Description

This naturally dyed scarf has intricate traditional patterning framed in beautiful gold from the Chahuaytire village in the Peruvian Highlands of Cusco. Handwoven on a backstrap loom this one-of-a-kind accessory is truly an individual expression showcasing the accomplished weaver.  The design puts a spotlight on the strong use of traditional motifs which includes birds, patterns, and figures. Beautifully finished with a twisted fringe.

This scarf was woven by Lourdes Puclla Perez, a member of the Chahuaytire village and cooperative member of Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco, located in the Peruvian Highlands of Cusco.
