This backstrap woven Peruvian scarf with two vertical bands featuring the pebble weave technique showcases traditional motifs from Patabamba. Cochineal with berry, sage and rose accents provide a warm background to set off the striking bands. Beautifully finished with a twisted fringe.
This scarf was woven by Francisca Mandorttupa Ojeda, a member of the Patabamba Community and cooperative member of Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco, located in the Peruvian Highlands of Cusco.
