This naturally dyed wool, alpaca scarf featuring traditional patterning from the Patabamba village in the Peruvian Highlands of Cusco. Traditional motifs are combined by the artisan to produce one-of-a-kind textiles. This handsome scarf features traditional geometric designs including Romana (manual scale), Puma sillo (puma’s claw), Mayu q’enqo (river), and Apu (mountain). Handwoven on a backstrap loom it is finished with a beautiful twisted fringe.
This scarf was woven by an artisan member of the Patabamba village and cooperative member of Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco, located in the Peruvian Highlands of Cusco.
