This handspun and handwoven cotton scarf features an ikat pattern of dashes of indigo against a natural-colored background.
All spinning and weaving is done by hand on a traditional wooden loom. The ends are finished with a twisted fringe. The more this scarf is washed, the softer it becomes.
The weavers of the Living Crafts Centre are part of Ock Pop Tok, whose mission is to support traditional Lao crafts and to provide economic opportunities for the artists.
