This rich naturally-dyed and handwoven bag is one sturdy and striking carry-all. Patterning inspired by flora and fauna find its way into the vertical design bands. The deep colors are achieved by natural dyes extracted from insects, leaves, and roots.
The two panels feature special motifs from Patabamba, a member village in the Peruvian Highlands of the Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco. It’s woven by artisan Santusa Chaucca.
The durable and finely backstrap-woven, alpaca/wool bag is fully lined, has an interior zipped pocket, as well as a small coin purse attached inside, a zipped closure on top, and strong straps for carrying plenty.
