Fine silk organza has been shibori-dyed in naturally-dyed colorways: burgundy and violet. The resulting wraps are lightweight, supple, and have an excellent drape. The intermediate width makes them suitable to wear as scarves or light shoulder wraps. They are finished with twisted fringe.
These scarves were dyed and handwoven by Miss Dtor, an artisan at the Living Crafts Centre in Luang Prabang. The Centre is part of Ock Pop Tok, whose mission is to support traditional Lao crafts and to provide economic opportunities for the artists.
