Product Description

Media Luna is half moon in Spanish. An inspiration for this stunning tote bag.

This rich naturally-dyed and handwoven bag is one sturdy and striking carry-all. Patterning inspired by flora and fauna find its way into the vertical design bands. The deep color of red featuring cochineal with sage green is a classic Peruvian combination. All colors are achieved by natural dyes extracted from insects, leaves, and roots.

The two panels feature special motifs from Patabamba, a member village in the Peruvian Highlands of the Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco. It’s woven by artisan Santusa Chaucca.

The durable and finely backstrap-woven, alpaca/wool bag is fully lined, has an interior zipped pocket, as well as a small coin purse attached inside, a zipped closure on top, and strong straps for carrying plenty.
