A roomy handwoven, naturally-dyed shoulder bag from Chinchero weavers in Peru.
This colorful handwoven bag has broad stripes with a decorative band. The colors are derived from flowers, roots, insect, and bark. The center pattern is a special motif from Chinchero, a member village in the Peruvian Highlands of the Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco.
The durable and finely handwoven alpaca/wool bag is fully lined, has an interior zipped pocket, and strong straps for carrying plenty. It has a zipped closure and the opening edge is finished with a special Peruvian braid. Each bag is unique to the weaver who makes it.
Backstrap woven by Juana Huayhua Huayhua, a member of the Chinchero village and cooperative member of Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco, located in the Peruvian Highlands of Cusco.
