ThIS all natural alpaca and wool scarf takes full advantage of the wide range of natural colors to create handsome stripe patterns. The fiber is handspun and the yarn is then handwoven on backstrap looms to produce the finished products. Each scarf is medium weight with a good drape and is finished with twisted fringe.
The Chinchero artisans who make these scarves are members of the Center for Traditional Textiles in Cusco, Peru. CTTC works with Quechua women and their families to ensure that their 2000-year old textile traditions continue to thrive, and to aid in economic development.
