Product Description

This exquisitely woven alpaca, wool shawl features stripes framing two matching geometric bands with a spectacular traditional center band featuring tika a Peruvian flower motif and the touch of blue reminds of us the sky. The natural rainbow of rich colors all come from natural dyes. Sophisticated and elegant, the shawl drapes nicely and is finished with a twisted fringe.

Backstrap woven by artisan Simona Quispe Garcia from Huacatinco, a highland village member of the Cusco Center for Traditional Textiles (CTTC). CTTC works with Quechuan-speaking artisans to help preserve Inca textiles and weaving traditions as well as to build skills, community networking, and to develop markets for the goods.
