With its warm rust and blue tones this simple shoulder bag is a striking accent for evening or day. The two matching decorative bands are highlighted using black traditional motifs from the Chahuaytire-Pisac area in the Peruvian highlands. The unlined bag has a zippered closure and it is embellished at the bottom with 3 evenly spaced small tassels. The 1″-wide shoulder strap is designed with stripes or traditional motifs. The edges of the bag are finished with the traditional ñawi-awapa braid.
This handsome bag was woven by Aniceto Ylla Puclla a member of Chahuaytire village and cooperative member of Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco, located in the Peruvian Highlands of Cusco.
