Red and an earthy green provide the dominant colors in this handwoven Peruvian bag. The colors are derived from flowers, roots, insect, and bark. The three bands represents special motifs from Chinchero, a member village in the Peruvian Highlands of the Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco.
This durable and finely handwoven alpaca/wool bag is fully lined, has an interior zipped pocket, and double carrying straps for carrying plenty. The zippered top features nawi awapa edging.
This bag was woven by Gregoria Pumayali Auccacusi, a member of the Chinchero village and cooperative member of Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco, located in the Peruvian Highlands of Cusco.
