Indigo bands are the background for a light fuchsia center-pleated panel as well as a band that frames the top of this unusual and spacious bag. The wool-alpaca blend of fibers are naturally dyed with colors derived from flowers, roots, insect, and bark. The patterns are motifs from the Acopia weaving traditions in the Peruvians Highlands of Cusco. The durable and finely handwoven tote is fully lined, has an interior zipped pocket, a zippered closure, and strong straps for carrying plenty.
This bag was woven by Delgado Flores Maria Purifacacion, a member of the Acopia community and cooperative member of Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco, located in the Peruvian Highlands of Cusco.
