Product Description

This fine silk scarf has ikat-dyed weft  stripes that emerge as closely to widely spaced crossed diagonal lines through the body of the scarf. Purple borders frame the pattern. The scarf has excellent drape and it is finished with very fine  twisted fringe.

Lao Textile and Natural Dyes Gallery features the tapestry weaving of the Tai Lue, one of the largest of the ethnic minorities who live in northwest Laos. It is located in the weaving village of Xien Lek, north of  Luang Prabang, a world heritage site in Laos.
