Such a beautiful ethereal drape beckons all the teal and blue lovers out there.  This bandhani silk scarf was made by a woman artisan.

Zakiya Aiyub Khatri of Mundra-Kutch, India, comes from a lineage of both batik and bandhani artisans. Her family supported her interest in in both traditions as well as education. After she finished 12th grade, she attended the design school of Kala Raksha Vidhyalaya (KRV). Zakiya graduated with awards for Best Collection, Most Marketable Collection, and Best Student. In 2014, she joined the Somaiya Kala Vidya Business and Management for Artisans Course and received her certification in 2015. She was presented an award for the Most Promising Entrepeneur. Her company is called, “BairAj” meaning The Rule of Women.
