About ClothRoads

To Our ClothRoads Community,

We want to let you know about changes ahead for ClothRoads. Since 2011, our ClothRoads team has been traveling the world, working to help foster and preserve textile cultural heritage and develop new markets and sustainable opportunities for artisans.

As a small business adapting to the changes of the last few years, we’ve made the difficult decision to close down our e-commerce marketplace. Happily, our wonderful friends at Cultural Cloth will provide you with the same level of artisanal quality and customer service you had with us. Many of the textile artisans they represent are ones we have as well, so you can find many and more incredible treasures there. When you click on shop links on the ClothRoads site, you’ll be automatically directed to their site.

Our monthly Textile Events Calendar will continue (if you’re not signed up for those monthly emails, you can do that right here). In the next few months we’ll also be updating our resources on this site, including our guide to textile travel, and sharing new blog posts about travel, books, and news. Please visit often to see what’s new and to keep our community thriving. We’re on social media as well — follow us and let us know what you’re up to in the world of textiles.

We are so grateful to everyone who’s made a purchase from us over the years and we hope every one of those purchases has brought you lasting joy. Thank you!

The ClothRoads Team
